The Lewis Partnership has been privately owned and run by the Lewis family for over 30 years. Originally a farming family, The Moat House was the base of the family farm from the 1950’s until 1988 when the decision was made to diversify and convert the farmhouse into a village pub and restaurant.
In the three decades that followed that decision the business has gone from strength to strength building a reputation for excellent food and service in the local area. The original farmhouse was extended to include the award-winning Orangery Restaurant, wedding facilities and 41 bedrooms and the business portfolio expanded to include a country inn; The Dog and Doublet at Sandon, a gastro pub; The Red Lion at Bradley and a traditional village pub; The Bank House at Hixon.
